- Promotes and coordinates collaboration among researchers within and outside the University;
- Development capacity of researchers in proposal writing research methodology and report writing;
- Reviews and approves proposals for submission to sponsors/funding agencies;
- Disseminates information on funding initiatives and opportunities to the University’s research community;
- Identifies academic staff research interest and establishes links with potential sponsors
- Assists researchers in preparing, writing and packaging proposals;
- Maintains a searchable database of research and development funding information.
- Operates a searchable database of researchers and their research and development interests;
- Maintains a searchable database of all ongoing and completed researcher and development activities;
- Publishers highlights of ongoing and completed research activities;
- Maintains proposals and awards databases;
- Prepares and submits to the Director contributions to the University’s Research and Development Reports.
