The Postgraduate School at FUNAAB was established and assigned, by regulation, the responsibility for “co-ordination and quality control of postgraduate studies at the Federal University of Agriculture, Abeokuta (FUNAAB)”. The regulation provides that “Postgraduate Studies shall include all academic and professional programmes which require student achievement beyond the undergraduate level in any field, generally leading to the award of a Postgraduate Diploma, Master or Doctorate Degree”.
Postgraduate education at FUNAAB aims at imparting specialized knowledge and skills leading to the attainment by the student of a high level of expertise in a specific field of agriculture, forestry, engineering or the basic sciences. These objectives arebeing met through the institution of an appropriate mix of advanced courses, provision of excellent research and library facilities, as well as teaching and supervision by highly experienced postgraduate academic staff. In general, considerable effort is being made on a continuous basis by the university to provide conducive environment for postgraduate study.
