PROJECT SUMMARY: As the title suggests, NACGRAB (National Centre for Genetic Resources and Biotechnology) a unit of the National Biotechnology Development Agency (NABDA) of Nigeria is the focus of this project. The study uses two (2) different crops (Legumes and Seed Vegetables). The steps taken involve Seed Multiplication, Seed Processing and Packaging, Seed Storage and Artificial seed Ageing (which goes along with seed’s physiological and genetic tests) in the first year of the project. In the second year, same processes and sampling of seeds stored in the bank in the first year is being done.
