Coordinates and monitors procedures on research using human subjects and animals;
Monitors policies relating to research conduct and integrity;
Supervises compliance with ethical regulations guiding research;
Ensures that animal care facilities are maintained in compliance with policy regulations;
Monitors and consults with relevant organs in charge of environmental health regulations relating to potential biological, chemical, radiation and recombinant DNA hazards;
Provides administrative support for the relevant ethical review boards;
Ensures monitoring and evaluation of research projects;
Prepares and submits to the Director contributions to the University’s Research and Development Reports.
